Beauty obsessive problem #1: Having a dresser full of makeup and using the same eight products every single day.
No matter how many trips to Boots I make, no matter how many deals I pick up online – my everyday makeup hardly ever changes. Even if I get up two hours before I plan to leave the house, I always end up doing my makeup in a rush. So there’s hardly ever time for liquid eyeliner or contouring – quick and fresh-faced with little room for mistakes is what I’m going for. These products are fool proof and leave me with a full face of makeup done in 10 minutes – now that’s what I call beauty on the go!
MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Light: This is my favourite powder I’ve tried, it’s light and keeps shine at bay all day – perfection.
MAC Casual Colour Lip & Cheek Colour in Keep It Loose: (The black circular tub – swatch below) This cream blush gives a fresh, natural rosy tint to the cheeks and doubles up as a pretty pink/nude lip colour, any 2in1 product is a favourite in my books!
Ruby & Millie eyelash curler: Even when I’m in a rush, I always find time to curl my lashes. It makes applying mascara easier and makes tired eyes look more awake. This Ruby and Millie one does the job, although I’d love to try the famous Shu Uemura one!
MAC Veluxe Brow Liner in Strawberry Blonde: Filling in my eyebrows has become an everyday makeup essential, and this brow pencil makes naturally fuller-looking eyebrows easy to achieve.
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast mascara: I started using this mascara a few weeks ago, and safe to say I’m in love. It gives uplifted, curly, thick, long lashes in one sweep and doesn’t budge all day, even on the bottom lashes. Can you imagine what two sweeps does?!
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Vintage Selection: This product is perfect for everyday wear as it gives a gorgeous brown/gold shimmery effect (swatch below) in one sweep of a finger over my eyelid – no brush or blending needed. Maybeline’s Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze is a great drugstore dupe for this.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair: One concealer that does it all – it hides dark circles, brightens under the eye, covers up redness and conceals blemishes, need I say more?
Bobbi Brown BB Cream in Light: I posted a full review of this product during the week. This BB cream has SPF 35 and provides enough coverage for daytime, plus it lasts all day long. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a new BB cream.
