Looking back, November was such a busy month that I didn’t have a lot of time to try out different products. I used most of my regular makeup products and kept my skincare routine pretty much the same.
There were a few things that stood out this month, however. Here they are:
Starting off with the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow palette. This had been on my lust list for quite a while, so a few weeks ago I finally picked it up. I’ve a habit of keeping luxury products for “special occasions”, which is pretty useless really, so I’ve been trying to convince myself to use this daily. The contour that I get from using this product is one of the most natural I’ve ever seen. It literally carves cheekbones. The highlight is subtle but stunning, and gives that “glowing from within” effect. I’ll have a full review with more details up soon, so stay tuned. And don’t get me started on the packaging *swoon*
Along with the colder weather this month came dry, dehydrated skin. I was at the Artistry Hydra-V event a few months ago and got to try out the Replenishing Moisture Cream. This is so hydrating and soothing on the skin. I apply a generous layer all over my face and allow it to soak in over night. When I wake up, my skin is plump and any feelings of dryness or dehydration are gone. It really works its way into the skin and provides intense hydration.
As per usual, my skin has continued to have breakouts here and there. To try to combat this, I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Serozonic. I use this as a toner and I feel like it’s really helped to calm down any breakouts that I have. You can spray it directly onto the skin or use a cotton pad. I use a cotton pad to dab it on as you don’t lose any product in the air that way!
I know I raved about the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel in yesterday’s post, and while it’s my favourite cleanser, I’ve also been enjoying using the Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil. It’s a 100% plant oil-based cleanser and every time I use this it feels like I’m getting a facial. It breaks down every bit of makeup, including mascara, and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. You need less than one pump to remove everything – from just a 100ml bottle you can get 108 uses!
The Flormar MaXXL mascara has been my go-to mascara every single day this month. This makes my eyelashes look so long and lifted. After removing my eyelash extensions, I was worried my lashes would be sparse and stubby. This mascara makes my lashes look longer than before and doesn’t smudge throughout the day. Head to Flormar Ireland’s Facebook page for stockists.
Next week will be Christmas Gift Guide Week on WhatSheDoesNow – I’m so excited!
