In the beauty world, “holy grail” isn’t a word used lightly. But, after months of using the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, I can safely say that it’s worthy of the title.
I’d heard so many amazing reviews about this cleanser, so at the end of January this year I decided to splurge and buy it. Ten months later, I’m still using the same bottle and I love it.
I use it at least three times a week to take off my makeup, and for a few months I used it every night. I can’t see how much is left, but I can feel some weight left in it still. That is serious value for money.
The term “gel” can be kind of off-putting. It comes out as a soft gel, but melts into an oil once it hits the skin. It feels so luxurious and breaks makeup down straight away. It’s super gentle on the skin, and even takes waterproof mascara off. This is the most gentle, effective cleanser I’ve ever used.
It contains many skin-loving ingredients, such as pumpkin enzyme, Vitamin C and Vitamin A. My skin feels soft and clean after using it and looks bright and fresh. The combination of ingredients breaks down dead skin cells, restores the surface and cleanses pores.
Just one pump goes a long way and takes off all of my makeup. I pump it onto clean fingers, rub my hands together and massage it into the skin. A bit of water emulsifies the product and breaks down makeup. I then use a damp face cloth to wipe all of the product off.
I don’t use it in the morning as I feel there’s no need, but in my opinion this is the perfect cleanser for removing makeup. It’s available on CultBeauty for just under €40, or you can pick it up in Space NK. This is one of the most expensive things in my skincare routine, but it’s worth every penny. As I said, I’ve had this for 10 months and it doesn’t look like it’s going to run out anytime soon. When it does, I’ll be straight out buying another one.
This would be a lovely Christmas present if there’s someone you’d like to spoil, or if you’re a total beauty lover and looking for a new cleanser, treat yourself to it!
