We’re officially into the second half of 2015 – how did that happen?! Although it’s June 1st, it feels nothing like summer as rain is currently pouring down outside and I’m trying to prepare myself to venture out in it for the Women’s Mini Marathon. Wish me luck!
I found a few beauty gems during May that I haven’t stopped using all month, but I also have a few non-beauty favourites. I watched the entire Grace and Frankie series on Netflix in two days. Two days! It’s such a funny, heart-warming programme and I already can’t wait for season two.
If you haven’t noticed, my Instagram feed (@whatshedoesnow) and almost every photo on my blog has had peonies in the background. They are my favourite flower of all time, and I’m raging that this bunch are on their last legs!
This month I got a new set of extensions applied. After having three sets of Great Lengths, I thought I’d give Gold Fever extensions a try. I’m loving them so far, and there’s been minimal shedding and fall out! If you want a full post on them, just let me know!
Earlier in the month I attended the Irish Beauty Blog Awards, where I was nominated for Best Content. It was such an honour to be nominated among Ireland’s greatest bloggers, and it was such a great night!
Ramble over – on to beauty favourites!
Earlier in the month I made a Cloud10Beauty order, where I picked up Glam Glow Super Mud mask and Blank Canvas 28 Neutral Eyeshadow palette. I’ll have a full review of both products up during the week, so I won’t say too much apart from that both products are amazing. The Glam Glow mask has made such a difference to my skin, and the Blank Canvas palette has taken over from my Naked palettes – and that says a lot!
Lush Tea Tree Toner Water has been one of my favourite steps in my skincare routine this month. It’s so refreshing and is really cooling on the skin, and I think it really helps to calm and treat any blemishes that I have.
Vichy Aqualia Thermale Serum has been a staple in my skincare routine this month. Just one pump makes my skin feel so hydrated, plump and smooth – I can’t be without it!
A couple of week’s ago I was at the SOSU by Suzanne Jackson launch party, and got Colab Tokyo Dry Shampoo in my goodie bag. I’d heard mixed reviews about this, so I was a bit apprehensive when I first tried it but I absolutely love it! It makes my hair feel and look fresh, plus it smells incredible. Every time I use it I get wafts of the scent throughout the day and it’s so so nice. I’ll definitely be purchasing the full bottle of it!
Speaking of SOSU, I tried the nail polish in This is Paradise. It’s just a gorgeous turquoise/blue shade that looks great with a tan, I’ll be wearing it all throughout summer!
