I’ve dresser full of makeup yet I turn to nearly the same products everyday. Who’s with me on that one? When it comes to day-to-day, usually the only way I change up my makeup is my eyeshadow or lipstick, other than that it remains pretty much the same.
Coming into spring, I like to wear a lighter foundation that still gives really good coverage. The Isa Dora Nude Sensation Fluid Foundation has been my favourite over the past few weeks as it’s really light and weightless but still covers spots and blemishes. The Isa Dora Protect Face Primer has SPF 30 and is really moisturising, so I apply this underneath to save the extra step of SPF. For blemishes that need a bit more concealing, MAC Studio Finish Concealer always does the job. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer has taken over from Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover dark circles as it conceals and brightens at the same time. I always put a bit of powder all over my face to keep the concealer in place and seal it all in. Whether that’s recommended or not, I don’t know – but it’s what I do.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink has been my favourite blush recently as it’s so pretty and pink and has a bit of shimmer in it too. I dust a bit of MAC Harmony under my cheekbones and along the temples to add a bit of colour to my otherwise very pale face. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer is my favourite step of applying makeup – it literally transforms your face! The shimmer it gives is gorgeous and catches the light really well, I always get asked about it whenever I wear it.
As per usual, Soap & Glory Archery brow pencil is my saviour for filling in my thin, fair brows. The original Urban Decay Naked palette has been the only palette I’ve been using over the past few weeks – it has every colour you need! I usually use the light matte brown in the crease and the champagne shimmer on the lid. A slick of L’Oreal Super Slim liner and a few coats of Maybelline Lash Sensational and that’s eyes done!
As for lips, liner has become an essential. Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob is the perfect pinky-nude, and looks really nice with MAC Hue on top. Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea has become a favourite too recently. It’s so pigmented and leaves my lips really moisturised and glossy.
If I take my time, this usually takes around a half an hour between regular Instagram checks and tea breaks, otherwise I can get it done in about fifteen minutes.
