*Generic ‘I can’t believe May is over already’ rant* – Although I say it every month, I really can’t believe that May has come and gone. This time last year I was about to begin my Leaving Cert and was stressed to the max. A year later I’m in the course of my dreams and 100 times more happy. It’s incredible what a difference a year can make!
I’m trying to save for my holidays, so my spending has been cut down a bit *sob*, so Boots hauls were minimal in May, yet there were still some great products and items that I’ve loved throughout the month.
VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray has become a product that I can’t live without. It gives my hair volume and texture (who would have guessed?) and makes freshly washed hair easier to curl and style. I’m a nude lipstick lover through and through, and can’t seem to stop adding to my collection. The latest addition is Revlon ColourBurst Lacquer Balm in Demure. I am obsessed. It’s so shiny, glossy and pigmented, and is a beautiful pink, nude shade – perfect for any occasion! No7 Pop & Glow cream blush in Mango Sorbet has earned itself a permanent place in my everyday makeup drawer. The muted orange/pink colour is totally different to the usual blush I go for, but it’s so creamy and blendable that you can really control how opaque you want it to be. An old favourite is the original Naked Palette. A brown/gold smokey eye has been my go-to look for May, and this palette has every shade you need. I’ve spoken a lot about how my skin has broken out badly recently, and although it hasn’t cleared completely, Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate has made a huge difference in the condition of my skin. It’s smoother, brighter and overall looks so much better. I can’t see myself stop using this anytime soon!
Two non-beauty favourites of the month have been Xpose magazine and my Nike Free Runs. Reading magazines is one of my favourite things to do (I buy eight monthly magazines at the start of every month) and Xpose magazine is the newest edition. I love buying Irish and reading a magazine where I know I can buy the products inside, so Xpose quickly became a firm favourite! I also attempted to start exercising regularly in May, so a pair of new runners was the best motivation. I ran the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon yesterday, and really enjoyed it. Maybe it’s time to start training for a half-marathon? 😉
I hope that May was a great month for everyone, and that June is even better!
I just rediscovered my Naked palette too after I left my Naked 3 at uni I forgot how much I loved it.
thanks for the tips

Your post is reminding me that I need to drag my running shoes out of the back of my closet and start running again! I started training for a 5K back in April but fell off the wagon somewhere in May… time to get back at it!
couch to 5k is a great app if you’re trying to get into running, maybe give it a go! xx
Great post!
