If you’re a regular reader of WhatSheDoesNow, (thank you if you are!) you may have noticed that for the first time in seventeen weeks (!!!) there was no SASS post on Sunday last.
I was debating whether or not to put up a really short, quick post or not put one up at all. Almost always I’d have something planned and would put it up, but last week I decided that no post was better than a short one. For someone who is pretty organised and hard on themselves, I debated nearly all day whether to blog or not. But then I realised that sometimes life gets in the way and that it’s okay not to post every single day. While I love blogging and enjoy posting everyday, some weeks are busier than others and last Sunday I really didn’t have a chance to put up a post. Between more work hours, college assignments and life in general, I honestly didn’t have a minute to put up a post. And that was okay.
I kind of realised that sometimes life just gets in the way, so commitments to family, friends, exercise, work and other things just get pushed aside. But that’s life, isn’t it? If everything was organised and there was no spontaneity, life wouldn’t be as interesting or as exciting.
So if you’re under pressure between various commitments, try to remember that it’s okay to slip up sometimes. To take a day off, to take a break or just to do something else instead. Tomorrow’s a new day and we can always start again – right?
