Flat to Fabulous Hair

Although I have extensions which thicken my hair, my natural hair usually lies flat at the root and I find it impossible to add volume no matter what I do. I’ve tried blow drying it upside down, volumising powders, volumising shampoos, but nothing has worked as well as this VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray .

I picked this up on a trip to Boots a few months ago, but only discovered its true greatness recently. Dry shampoo had been my go-to product for instant volume, even when my hair was freshly washed, but always left a white powdery residue in my hair. Not exactly what I was looking for.

This spray is really fine and light, I hardly know that it’s in my hair after spraying. Apart from the amount of volume it gives, that is. I separate my hair into seconds and spritz at the root, leave for a few seconds and then rustle my hair to achieve gorgeous volume. It doesn’t leave the hair dry or crispy, and doesn’t leave tell-tale white powder residue, so it works well for dark hair as well. Sometimes I spray it in the lengths of my hair to refresh it or to give it texture when it’s looking limp.

There are plenty of texturising sprays on the market at the minute, but I’d really recommend giving this one ago as it’s affordable and it works.
