1920’s Ball Outfit & Makeup

On Monday night I went to a 1920’s style ball with my friends – and I had such a great night. Although my hair, makeup and outfit aren’t strictly 1920’s themed, I wanted to feel comfortable and not feel like I was in a costume. It was so much fun getting into a full-length dress and getting totally done up, I’m so sad it’s over! We had been looking forward to it for weeks, but it was definitely worth the wait! I thought I’d share with you the look I went for, as well as a few snaps from the night. I hope you enjoy!

I got my makeup done in MAC for the occasion as there was a few bits I wanted to purchase anyway. *Cough cough eyeshadow palette* I was so happy with how my makeup turned out. I was looking for something Kim K inspired and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. My lips are MAC Red, but I’m not too sure about the rest of the makeup as I was just relaxing as she did it and switched off beauty-blogger mode. I filled in my eyebrows using Anastasia Brow Wiz as they weren’t as defined as I would have liked, but that’s the only thing I had to fix. If you’re looking to get your makeup done in MAC I would recommend it 100%. I’ve gotten my makeup done there so many times and have always been happy with the result. It’s €40 to get done, but that value is redeemable against products. So if there’s something that you have your eye on in MAC, book in for an appointment and you’ll basically get your makeup done for free. I love looking at the products they use, and usually pick out one or two of them to buy if they stand out to me. Make sure you book a few weeks in advance though, as they book out quickly!

Nothing like a champagne reception!

I hope you enjoyed this kind of post. I know it’s prom season in some places now so maybe this is some inspiration!
