Late Night Makeup Removal

Image

We all know the feeling – you’ve just come home from a night out and all you want to do is get into bed. But, chances are, you’ve a full face of makeup to remove. And we all know how bad it is to leave makeup on when we’re asleep. So, after many late nights I have perfected a speedy makeup removal routine, that gets rid of a heavy face of makeup in less than five minutes. Not going to lie, I might use this routine sometimes during the week when it’s been an especially long day. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right?

First of all I start with peeling off my false lashes and trying to put them somewhere safe but 99% of the time end up losing them. I then get a scoop of Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and massage it all over my face. I rub it all over my eyes, into my lashes and massage it all over my face. The result usually ends up with me looking like a panda, but it works. This cleansing balm is great as it removes every trace of makeup, including eyeliner and mascara. I then squeeze some Bioderma onto a cotton pad and rub that over my face and right into the hairline to make sure I’ve gotten rid of every smidge of makeup. The cleansing balm works so well that usually there’s hardly anything left to remove, but I do it just incase. After wearing heavy makeup my skin can feel quite dehydrated, so I slather Nivea Regenerating Night Cream on my face and neck, leaving my skin soft and plump when I wake up. Although my head might not be feeling so great the next morning, there are no traces on my face that I’d been out the night before. Before I discovered this routine I used to find loads of makeup residue on cotton pads (and on my pillow) the next morning but I can safely say that doesn’t happen anymore since using these products.
