The Bag: Michael Kors Selma

Back in December, my wish to have a Michael Kors Selma bag came true. I’d seen the bag online, and immediately fell in love. The shape, the size, the texture – everything about the bag appealed to me. I really believe in costs-per-wear, and knew that I’d really get my value for money from this investment piece. I picked it up when I was in New York, so there was a slight saving on the price. Having used it nearly every day since then, I can honestly say that it was worth every penny.

There’s a power that comes from carrying a wonderful bag, and boy does this MK have the power. It makes any outfit look a bit more put together, and always makes me feel a bit more sophisticated when I have it on my arm. I bought this with the intention of using it for any occasion – work, college, dinners, trips to town – and safe to say, it’s perfect for them all.

It’s big enough to hold the ridiculous amount of things that I like to carry around with me, and has plenty of pockets and compartments for those pieces that always seem to disappear into a black hole when you put them into your handbag. Plus, there’s a hook for your keys – genius!

It’s a really structured bag, which I love, and the sides can be pushed in to reduce the size. So really, it’s 2 bags in 1! I swap between using the detachable shoulder strap or just the handles, either way works well. The material is scratch proof and water proof, so I don’t have to worry too much when I bring it into the hustle and bustle of town! The gold hard wear is absolutely gorgeous, and hasn’t scratched or faded at all. Any marks that I’ve gotten on the bag have wiped off easily, and I haven’t had any faults with it whatsoever.

I can see myself using this bag for a long, long time. I would say that I’ll never buy another bag again, but I don’t think I could resist. I certainly won’t be buying one for another few months, and I don’t think that I could find anything that would match up to this beauty!
